This is honey made by apis florea bees, also known as small bees, collecting nectar from wild forests in Tamil Nadu. This honey is collected in an extremely gentle way from multi-combed hive. A bee tree is a tree in which a colony of honey bees make its home. Colonies in these trees have fixed comb, so inspection and management is impossible. When the tribals spot a tree cavity with a hive in it, they place a stone at the opening of the hive. They don’t use fire or smoke to draw out the bees when collecting wild honey. When the tribal honey hunter is ready to take out the honey, he will remove the stone, put his face close to the cavity and blow softly. This pushes the bees out gently and the hunter reaches in and pulls out the honey from the multi-combed hive. Sometimes there is a snake in the cavity with the bee hive. While trying to collect honey if the snake isnt aggressive, its seen a sign that the honey hunter comes with a pure heart and body. The distinctive characteristics of apis florea honey is due to its presence of multitude of minor components originated from the nectar and bees themselves, unlike honey from other species of honey bees. This honey has an enhanced effect of all the health benefits pertaining to pure raw honey.

Every variant of raw honey is filtered by a strainer as shown in the image, without any exposure to heat. We fill them in jars & pack only as per orders placed by our customers.
 
Regarding Honey Color, Taste & Other Properties:
The variant of honey will precisely be of the same origin as mentioned in the product description, however, it may vary from product image as pure raw honey never stays the same. It's alive with yeast, their enzymes & different forms of sugar in it. As it ages, its color, consistency and/or taste profile may change mildly or extremely, depending on many factors like pollen count of different flowers, ratio of nectar of different flowers that blossom, and more. Also, crystallization may occur when the natural glucose settles on beneficial microparticles in honey.
 
Product Sizes:
We dispatch raw honey in airtight glass jars of 250gm & 500gm. Price is mentioned for 250gm only. 500gms would cost twice the amount 250gm of the same variant of honey costs. If you prefer a 500gm jar, please precisely mention it as a note while placing an order & we shall make sure it is.

Storage:
You may store it in a cool & dark place.
Make sure to use a dry spoon to take honey from the jar.
